OSTERVILLE - The local fire department was called to the scene of a one-car crash early Sunday morning. Joell Bumgardner, who was the driver of the vehicle, claimed "that pole wasn't there a second ago," apparently trying to convince authorities that it was not his fault.
"I was driving, minding my own business, when this stupid pole came outa no where! I swear," Bumgardner said. "My hands at 10' and 2' just like normal. Well, I was posting on Facebook, but who doesn't do that? Besides, I was using speech to text! That doesn't even count as texting."
No injuries were reported in the accident.
